Welcome to the website of Doug Oman, PhD. I am a scientist and scholar with a special interest in the topics of spirituality and health. Since 2001, I have been a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, in the School of Public Health (see my faculty page). I have a recently published 500-page book about spirituality and public health, and from August 2016 to August 2017 I served as President of the Society for the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality (Division 36 of the American Psychological Association). I also lead a training grant in spirituality and public health at U.C. Berkeley.
